Create What You Love |
In the summer of my seventh grade year, I got bored. So I invited my best friend over to hang out. And as I said before I was bored, so I asked her if she wanted to be in my first YouTube video. She and I sat down to record a very embarrassing video with our advice about relationships (which can be found here). However embarrassing this video is, I won't delete or make it private as it is my first ever content I uploaded to my YouTube channel. Without this video I would not be sitting in my bedroom at 9:30pm writing about my passions to create. This video was the start of my passion to create content on YouTube.
The reason I chose to upload a YouTube was more than just boredom however. I had always been intrigued by sharing my opinions with anyone and everyone who will listen, and YouTube is the perfect place for that. Taking an idea in my head and making it into reality is just so satisfying. It gives my joy when people comment on my videos telling me how much they enjoyed what I created. However I don't create for the numbers and comments from strangers around the world. I create for the pure joy of setting my ideas free.
About the same time, I started to choreograph my first dance. I spent hours pouring over a notebook with scratches and scribbles of my vision and ideas. Hours of effort went into choreographing the dance, and even more in rehearsals to make it just right. The girls that I had in my dance were so lovely and passionate too. If it weren't for them, my ideas would have never been reality. Their passion for the dance and my passion for creating it flowed perfectly together. I literally started crying when I saw it performed on stage for the first time. I don't think I have been more excited or happy to see my vision come to reality.
Of course when something gives you such overwhelming feelings, you're going to continue to do it. Which is why I spend my weekends choreographing dances and creating videos. Which is why I'm spending my Thanksgiving break vlogging, and finishing up my choreography for this year's piece. And which is why I'm okay with that.
So long story short I just like to create visual content that connects people in some way.
I know that I said I would write regularly on this blog and I have epically failed. But I am going to fix that! I am going to try my best to write more regularly, and also be on my social medias for YouTube more often (like my Patreon which you can check out here).
But hopefully I will be able to keep up a semi-regular schedule. But I will chat with you later.
xx Ans Marie
